About Us
House and Renner was formed in the early 1980's by Harvey House and Al Renner, two former Industrial Arts Instructors. After several years as small remodelers and home builders, they diversified into small commercial tenant finish work. In 1998 Tom Baugh was hired to help in the technology and management areas and the company had a growth spurt which included some large commercial remodels. 2006 was a break out year which saw House and Renner grow about 50% in commercial revenue and included several new commercial structures as well as a host of impressive medical, industrial and non-profit facilities. The future appears to be bright as a steady flow of commercial work begins the in 2007 with a new Bank 21 project and a dental office due to break ground in July.
House and Renner employs about 20 people full time including both office and field personnel. The commercial division is lead by Tom Baugh who oversees all aspects of the commercial business and David Jaeger who handles the majority of the field associated management. David Jaeger and Toby Choate act as our primary superintendents on larger projects while Shawn Noland, Wayne Bixby and Brian Bixby oversee tenant improvement projects as well as sharing duties in the residential area.
House and Renner maintains that relationships are the most important part of our business. By serving the people we work for, we are able to strengthen our relationships and by strengthening our relationships we can assure that our name and reputation go forward in a positive light. We don't just protect our business name, we believe so strongly in the principals we stand by that we live them. We're all prone to make mistakes but good honest hard work towards achieving a happy customer given the skilled tradesmen and subcontractors we employ, is a recipe for a successful business and a happy and fruitful existence. We take pride in making our customers happy. Our ultimate intrinsic reward is to look at a piece of work we've completed and a smile on a customer's face. That image of good work being appreciated is the ultimate reward in our business.
